My name is Csatár Éva, I am a surgeon, a physician in the field of internal medicine and a gastroenterologist, as well as the leading physician of Gastromed Center.
Proctology has been my main field of interest for more than 30 years. I always aim to provide fast, precise, effective, gentle, discrete outpatient care to every patient.
As proctology only treats the last 20 centimetres of the intestinal tract, a lot of patients asked me to provide solutions to the problems of the upper intestine.
This is how the offices of Gastromed Center expanded: besides proctologic tests, we now also provide services in the fields of dermatology and gastroenterology. Under the latter, we use the latest technologies and instruments to provide a solution to symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea of unknown origin, constipation, bloating and heartburn.
Another important treatment area is the screening of large bowel tumours and rectal tumours. Our office can meet every related personnel and equipment needs, so we provide safe and attentive examination and treatment solutions.
Our main offering includes colonoscopy, gastroscopy (if needed, both may be conducted under different degrees of anaesthesia, with the help of an anaesthesiologist, and accompanied by the taking of tissue samples), abdominal and soft tissue ultrasound, as well as rectal ultrasound, hydrogen exhalation tests and Helicobacter examinations.
We also provide solutions for diagnosing food intolerances, lactose intolerance and celiac syndrome. Our gastroenterologists also provide expert care to patients suffering from chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and Colitis ulcerosa).
The full palette of laboratory tests is at our disposal, thanks to out co-operation with Synlab Laboratory.
At Gastromed Center, we do not simply send the patients on their way after the consultation: after the examination is concluded, we provide dietetic counselling and psychological guidance.
For us, it is extremely important to provide safe examinations of the highest quality: that is why we use videogastroscopes and -colonoscopes developed as late as 2012.
Most of time, we perform the necessary operations right after the examinations, so that our patients can become fully healed as soon as possible. For more significant operations (for example: removal of the protrusion of circular haemorrhoids, higher fistulae, pilonidalis cysta and large condylomata), we are able to use our own surgery room, and draw on the assistance of an anaesthesiologist to provide different degrees of anaesthesia – all during outpatient care.
When it comes to faecal incontinence, we provide specialized physical therapists to help you.
We use high resolution anoscopes to diagnose STIs/STDs, and also able to carry out specialised cultures.
